Cricket India Academy leave Dubai with memorable experiences

The Cricket India Academy spent a week training at the ICC Academy in order to gain some valuable experiences playing abroad, and from their performances here, it seemed to be a worthwhile visit.

Travelling from Mumbai, India, the Academy’s Under-13 teams played two exhibition matches against our ICCA Under-13 Warriors at the Ovals.

Although they lost their opening match to the ICC Academy, who matched their total of 125, it was a great learning experience for their second match, where they made a 134 runs and then bowled out the Warriors for just 67, exactly half that total.

They were also our special guests at the Celebrity Cricket League which was held in Dubai, where they were able to meet a galaxy of superstars from Tinseltown.

ICC Academy manager Will Kitchen was happy to see the boys come to Dubai to train. “We must realise that cricket is a sport that is thriving throughout the world and we are always happy to welcome others to use our world-class facilities.

“Given the number of international teams that have benefited from the experience of working with us here, it is only prudent that we offer this to others as well.

“We are delighted to have worked with such a talented bunch of cricketers and we will happily welcome them back in the future.”
